Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:24, Luke 9:27

Jesus said, "If anyone comes after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."

Luke 14:27 ... Jesus said, "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple."

Jesus says here that when we pick up our cross, we need to be aware of the altar that we have and be making our own spiritual sacrifices to follow Him.

If we aren't making those spiritual sacrifices to follow Him, we are missing a big part in our relationship with Him.  We are the high priests of our altar ... and are supposed to place the sacrifices on the altar to be sacrificed so they will never be a part of our life again.

I asked God, "Your Word says 'spiritual' sacrifices ... what is that?  I don't understand that."   He said, "You're not getting it right.  The altar in you, in your body, in your temple, is a spiritual altar.  The spiritual sacrifices are connected to the natural life where you live." ... The things that we need to be forgiven of: mistakes, sins, etc.
