The Body of Christ, in general, hasn't been taught who we really are ... Who owns us. We do our own thing ... we say: "Yeah, God, I'll do that when I get around to doing it."
This isn't putting God first place in our life. Many, many Christians live their lives this way. They haven't been taught that when God wants them to do something, they shouldn't argue with Him ... just do it.
In John 12:26b, Jesus says: "My Father will honor the one who serves Me." So there's got to be a reward for being obedient when God tells us to do something, and there is. Sometimes we miss our rewards because we don't obey what the Father says to us.
John 14:23 ... Jesus replied: "If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will love him and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
