God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit are all intimate with each other. There's no greater intimacy than that. We cannot separate the Godhead in any permanancy.
Jesus went to hell and was separated from the Father for a short period of time. This is the only time written in the Bible where there was any division of the Godhead. The intimacy that God, the Father, had with Jesus when He was in hell defeating the devil never left ... their relationship with each other never left.
We are intimate within ourselves ... spirit, soul, and body ... and nobody except God knows anything about this intimacy except us. Husband, your wife doesn't know the intimacy that you have with yourself about your spirit, soul, and body. She doesn't know and never will know ... that's your intimacy with yourself.
What you want to do is become intimate with your wife as much as you can as her husband ... and she be intimate with you as her husband ... (not sexual intercourse, to clarify). This is the way that God set it up and He says that we need to want that same intimacy with Jesus so we can be tied into the intimacy of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
We want our intimacy as close to Their intimacy as we can get it. This should be our goal and it's a life-long project. Everything applies to this ... there's nothing that isn't significant to our intimacy with Jesus. It's all relevant.
