The things we do, not only from the spirit realm and from the unction of the Holy Spirit, when we begin to walk in, listen to, and do what God says, we are being obedient. Then we can take the next step where there's growth, maturity, character, integrity ... all the things we need which are God's characteristics.  So it is vital that we learn to do this.  This is what God wants.

We can also stop ourself in this process by saying, "I'll never attain".  if we keep saying this, we will never get there.

Instead we should say, "I'm striving ... I'm pressing for that high mark of God by the calling of Christ Jesus."

The Scripture reference for this is Philippians 3:14 ... "I press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus".  This is the whole aspect of seeking and pursuing God ... of being intimate with Him.

Martin Luther began this process with the Reformation.  Then John Wesley and others came along and said, "There's more to this than what has been taught."

We stopped way back there for the most part in growing in our maturity, and we haven't allowed the Holy Spirit to be Himself in us.  We've put Him "out there" as the Holy Spirit, the untouchable GOD.

No ... His first Name is not "the".  He's a Person.  He should be more real to us at this moment than anything else.
