Hebrews 6:12 AMP. ... Do not grow disinterested and become spiritual sluggards, but be imitators, behaving as do those who through faith by leaning [completely] on God in Christ (the Anointed One and His anointing) in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness.

In 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 it says that there can be no agreement between the temple of God and idols. We are the temple of The Living God.  He said that He would walk and dwell in, with, and among us.  He will be our God and we shall be His people.  If we do not touch any unclean thing, He'll receive us and treat us with favor.  He will be our Father and we'll be His sons and daughters.

God looks at the potential of having these idols around as much as what we're doing with them.  If nothing else, they can be used by the devil as stumbling blocks to keep us from going after Jesus.

1 Corinthians 8:4, and Psalm 135:15 say that an idol is nothing ... it has no real existence.  It is the work of men's hands ... made of silver and gold.

1 Thessalonians 1:9b tells us to turn to God and serve Him because He is ALIVE and TRUE and GENUINE.

1 Corinthians 8:4b ... We know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but One.
