We need to keep ourselves in intimacy with the Godhead.  How do we do this?  We have to have the revelation knowledge of the Word which becomes part of our intimacy.  It's just a matter of doing it and that's where we fall down.  We are so aware of who we are which is the part we have trouble with, because we still want to be "us" and not "Him".  God says that we are little Jesus's (little gods) in John 10:34-36.

John 10:34-36 ... Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law I said, 'Ye are gods?'"   If He called them gods, unto whom the Word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken; say ye of Him Whom the Father has sanctified, and sent Him into the world; you blaspheme because I said 'I am the Son of God.'"

What we were before we became born-again Christians is what we were, not what we are now. God is a faith God, so when He talks about something, He is speaking it out in faith ... it has not materialized in the natural where we can see it yet.  He calls us as He sees us, not as we see ourselves right now because in the natural we haven't arrived at this point yet.

One of our falacies is that we look at ourselves and think that God sees us the same way we see us. This is not true because He looks at the end, not at what it is now.  We must learn to do the same thing.
