Romans 14:23b ... "Whatever is not from faith is sin." Anything we do without faith is sin. So if we're not operating in faith, we're in transgression against God.
Romans 1:17 ... The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "the just shall live by faith".
When we do things from our free will in the natural sense without conversing with God about it, we are bordering on sin because it's a transgression against Him. He wants to lead us, but He's not going to dictate to us everything that we have to do all day long. He's not legalistic ... He isn't going to beat us up if we mess up.
God's whole object is to separate the sin from us so we can live a sin-LESS life, just like Jesus did. This is what we're supposed to end up being: an exact likeness ... duplicate ... of Jesus in everything He said and everything He did.
God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are within us in our spirit man. They live in total freedom, in total Glory, in total holiness. God wants us to live the same way.
We've had the opportunity to do that and we can be there ... we can be there! This is our goal. We can totally have that opportunity, but because of our soulish choice we may choose not to. We can have total freedom of being in that holiness, in that Glory, in all of the attributes of God ... all are available to us.
