The Church is being shortchanged in their education.  Someone said, "When I deal with the devil, I just tell him to go to hell!"  We don't have the right to send the devil to hell ... only God has this right.  But we do have the right to kick him into those "dry places".

Luke 11:24-26 ... When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest and finding none, he says, "I will return to my house where I came out."  When he comes he finds it swept and garnished.  Then he goes and takes to him 7 other spirits more wicked than himself and they enter in.  The last state of that man is worse than the first.

This says that when the unclean spirit goes out of a person, he walks through dry places.  But he always thinks that he can return.  If he should succeed, this person will ALWAYS end up worse than he was at the beginning.

Keep the devil under your feet!  Do not allow him to be up talking to you in your face.
