Psalm 51:10 ... Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

"Give me a clean heart, O Lord."  Well, He did ... now it's up to me to keep it clean.

My prayer in the morning when I wake up is: "I thank You, Father, that by the Blood of Jesus I am cleansed.  Sin has no more place in my life.  I am healed!  Jesus, thank You that You brought God's Divine Nature to me."

His Divine Nature is in us ... His attributes ... the Fruit of the Spirit.  Because of His Divine Nature I have Divine healing going on in my body all the time.  Because I have Divine healing I walk in Divine health ... one to the other.  Now if I shortcut this somewhere, who pays the price?  I DO!  This isn't pleasing to God because He paid the price for me.  The "old me" is dead.

When we are disobedient to God, we're really being disobedient to His possession.  We are His possession. Some Christians are living to (for) themselves ... they don't realize that God owns them.  He isn't a dominating God Who's going to say legalistically: "Do this and this and this" or "Don't do this and this and this."

Deuteronomy 30:19 ... "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both you and your seed may live."

This says ... "both you and your seed".  So your obedience and disobedience involves not only yourself, but also your offspring, your children, grandchildren, etc., on down the line.  So think about what you do that the consequences would involve your family for ages to come.  You want obedience!

Here God says that all these things ... "You can choose life or you can choose death ... now choose LIFE."  You get to choose ... He doesn't choose for you.
