When we see the word "heart" in our Bible, we don't stop and think: "Which "heart" is this verse referring to?"

We're going to look at some definitions of the word "heart".

PURE ... free from a mixture, such as in "pure" gold.

FLAW ... a defect made by a breach.

CORRUPT ... to change from a pure state.

TRUE ... conformable to fact, not something that's false or a lie.

ANALOGY ... to use something the listeners know; to teach something the listeners don't know.  It's a teaching tool ... Jesus used analogies all the time with His stories.

The simplest definition of "heart" is "center of llfe".

The Greek/English dictionary defines the heart as "the center of all physical and spiritual life, including the soul which is the function of thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purpose, endeavors and also the outer man vs. the inner man."
