If we're going to become like Jesus, walk like Jesus, and do what He did, then these things (2 Peter 1:2-4) are going to have to become part of the revelation knowledge that we possess. We have to get rid of the traditions and doctrines of men and the doctrines of devils.
God told me to quit asking Him for things that He's already given us and quit praying in your known language. Pray in the Spirit with other tongues if you don't have the Scriptures of what you're praying.
Praying in the Spirit is more important than praying in our known language. If we're praying in the Spirit, we won't be praying for things that He's already given us.
When we pray in the Holy Spirit's language of tongues, it isn't coming from between our ears ... in other words, it's not our mind doing it. It's coming from deep down in our spirit man.
Don't try to conjure up something to say that sounds like someone else's praying in tongues (in the Spirit). It doesn't work that way.
This is a gift from our Heavenly Father, given to us for a reason. We have to be very careful that we don't start wearing our spirit prayer language like a badge of accomplishment, and show it off. Then it will turn into pride, and the end of that is not good.
