Romans 8:1b ... for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the (Holy) Spirit.

The sins that we commit are no surprise to God, but He doesn't dwell on our sins.  He dwells on righteousness and who we are because He's in us, in our spirit man.

Our spirit man is not our problem.  Our soul ... our mind ... grabs ahold of the sins we've committed and we dwell more on them than the righteousness and the forgiveness that God has provided for us with the Blood of Jesus.  Yes, God wants us to repent, but He doesn't want us to dwell on our mistakes.  He wants us to dwell on Jesus and the intimacy we have with Him, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit ... because this is where our victories come from.

We don't gain any victories by ourselves.  We think that the victories in the soul realm or natural world we have accomplished on our own.  NO!!  There are spiritual truths that made them come to pass which  may have been instituted by somebody else or by your own prayers.  You just weren't aware of the effect these spiritual truths had to bring about your victory.
