1 Thessalonians 5:23 ... The very God of Peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Most people think: "body, soul, and then spirit", if they are even aware of the spirit man. It's always in reverse in the world, but in the Chruch, the born-again ones, it should be said: "spirit, soul, and body", because the spirit should influence the soul to make the decision to "do this" so that the body can follow it.
If you think "body, soul, and then spirit", your thinking is more flesh-geared than spirit-geared ... you are more body-conscious than spirit-conscious. But that's where we came from and we have to change our thinking when we become born-again Christians ... "I'm not what I used to be ... I'm a brand new creature in Christ Jesus".
2 Corinthians 5:17 ... Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.
