What is man that You are mindful of him?
We ask with David, the shepherd lad in Israel, "Who am I , Lord, that You would care about me?" David looked up at the immense sky and saw the heavens, the moon, and the stars, and he was amazed by the God of the universe Who created them and holds them together. In awe, he asks this God, "What is man that You are mindful of him?" We are so minute compared with all this other glory.
We ask, "Who are You, God?", and He replies, "I AM LOVE." We ask, "What have You done, God?", and He answers us, "I gave My only Son, Jesus, to die for you and pay the penalty for your sins."
1 John 4:7-9 NLT ... Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for Love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is LOVE. God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have Eternal Life through Him.
It's no wonder that we want to shout with this psalmist, David, "Oh, Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your Name in all the Earth!"
Psalm 8:1 NLT ... O, Lord, our Lord, Your Majestic Name fills the Earth!
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have made me the object of Your Love. I am amazed at Your forgiveness and Grace. Help me to marvel at Your great Love. God, You love me, not because of who I am ... but because of Who You are.
