If we are going to be exact images of Jesus, we have to have everything that He had. We do have everything ... it's all there available to us. This is where our obedience steps in, when we are obedient and walking exacly like Jesus. This is what He wants us to be doing with no man-made restrictions.
We know perfectly well when we sin ... when we step outside of God's Presence. we know when we are going to do it ... when we decide to sin ... so we cannot be surprised when we find ourselves outside of His Presence. His manifestation to us is cloudy and dim, but He hasn't left us.
The devil presents things to us, and we either accept them or not. We know when we've missed it, when we have sinned and departed from God's Presence. We must then repent, back up, and then we'll be back in the safe zone. God makes it so simple ... theologians and religious people try to make it so hard for us.
We also think that we can just walk in it and that everything will be OK. We think that it's automatic, and that God didn't see us screw up, so we don't have to worry about it. We think that we can do anything we want to do, and not have any consequences to pay. NO, NO, NO! Without repentance, there will be consequences.
