The Bible says in Isaiah 61:3 ... "Put on, PUT ON!"
When you dress, you choose what clothes to put on. You don't praise God because you feel like praising Him, or it's something that's naturally the emotional thing to do.
There may be times when praise doesn't even occur to you. Sometimes it isn't even something that you want to do. In fact, quite the opposite. You do not want to do it or feel like doing it.
But the Word says ... "YOU PUT IT ON." Put it on like a coat and when you put it on, focus it against strongholds. SATAN'S POWER WILL BE BLOWN APART by the power of praise coming from your lips.
Sometimes it's hard to praise ... our feelings will stand in the way of our wanting to praise. Many times we don't feel worthy, or that we've been so bad, so we think that praising God will do any good. I've been there.
Hebrews 13:15 ... Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His Name.
Let us offer the sacrifice of praise ... anyway. It works!
