1 Timothy 6:9-11 NKJV ... Flee the desire to be rich and other foolish and harmful lusts which will drown you in destruction and perdition.  The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil and can cause you to stray from the faith and pierce you through with many sorrows.  Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love , patience, gentleness.

You can see from the above verse of Scripture that it's the love of money that causes evil, not the money itself.  Many people have gotten confused by this verse.  Money in itself is not evil ... it's the love of it that causes problems.

2 Timothy 2:22 NKJV ... Flee youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Your pure heart is your spirit man and your spirit man is where your pure heart is.

Hebrews 10:22 NKJV ... Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:22 NLT ... Let us go right into the Presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him.  For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's Blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
