1 John 5:7 ... For there are three that bear witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are analogous to our spirit, our body, and our soul ... the Holy Spirit being analogous to our soul man.

Our Father God is a Spirit with a heart.  Some of you may ask, "Does God have a heart?  Does a spirit have a heart?"

In Acts 13:22, does it say that David was a man after God's own "Spirit"?  No, it says "heart" ... so God has a heart.

Acts 13:22b ... (God) said, "I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will."

David didn't realize how close to God he was with his soul heart.  He didn't have a born-again spirit so God had to deal with him in the soul realm ... as He did with everyone before Jesus came.  David was so close to God in his soul realm ... this is where we should be in our soul realm today with our spirit man.

We live in the soul realm, but our spirit man should be dictating to our soul man on how we are to live our life.  Our soul man was not made brand new when our spirit was ... neither was our flesh.  We are still in the same old sinful flesh we lived in before we became a Christian, and will be until we get caught away.
