Jesus confronted and defeated the devil by speaking God's Word and using the power in that Word. 

It's God's plan for us to be able to do the same things Jesus did while He walked on this Earth.  It's His plan that we confront Satan wherever we find him, and by speaking God's Word, destroy his srongholds and conquer him in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit!

When we speak forth God's Word, it becomes a mighty weapon and drives the enemy out of our life and circumstances.  As we speak forth God's Word it becomes a devouring flame that consumes the enemies of God.  It becomes a crushing hammer that breaks down the obstacles and hindrances that the devil places in our way.

God tells us in Jeremiah 23:29, "Is not My Word like a fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?"

God's plan for us is that we think, walk, and act as Jesus did while He was here on the Earth.  He has planned that when we speak His Word, we will see blind eyes opened!  When we speak His Word, we'll see tongues loosed!  When we speak His Word, we will see demons obey!  When we speak His Word, we'll see the dead raised to life!

As a child of the Living God, this is our heritage!  We have been made the children of God through the sacrifice of Jesus, and have been entrusted with the very same power and authority that Jesus has.  Now we should get down to business and use it!
