Philippians 3:12b ... I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which I am also apprehended of Christ Jesus. 

When we become born again, Jesus apprehended us.  He says, "I finally caught up with you ... now you are Mine!"  Or "You caught up with Me and now I can make you Mine!" 

Some of us have erroneous thinking that we're either chasing Jesus or that He's chasing us.  We are supposed to seek Him.  He already knows where we are ... He doesn't have to seek us. 

He's waiting for  us to seek Him so that He can make His Presence become real to us when we accept Him as our Savior.  This makes it our choice rather than His choice ... because if it was His choice we wouldn't have any choice. 

We have a free will so we do have a choice.  God isn't going to negate our free choice regardless of how much it hurts Him when we make the wrong one.  He put that "choice maker" in us. 

We are the only creature that He made who has this ability.  It's all our decision: to seek Christ, pray, read and study the Word.  It's up to us, not Him.
