Mark 11:13,14 ... Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, He (Jesus) came, if haply He might find any thing thereon: and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.  Jesus answered and said unto it, "No man eat fruit from thee hereafter for ever."  And His disciples heard it.

Jesus, in this story of the fig tree, told the tree that it would bear no more fruit.  This tree was created to be a fruit tree and it was supposed to bear fruit in its season.

When Jesus came to the tree, it didn't have any fruit on it, and He cursed it.  We are supposed to curse the devil and the things that he's trying to do, not only in our lives, but also in the lives of others, both Christians and non-Christians, who need our help.

We are judged by the fruit that isn't entirely manifested by our words.  A lot of people will look at Christians and judge us by the way we live our lives ...not by the words coming out of our mouth.  If we aren't walking the walk, our talking the talk won't make any difference.

Jesus said that He doesn't say anything except what the Father tells Him to say.  He also said that He doesn't do anything except what the Father tells Him to do.  We are supposed to listen what the Father says and fit into this same scheme of things.
