God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all intimate with each other.  There's no greater intimacy than that.  You cannot separate the Godhead with any permanancy. 

Jesus went to hell and was separated from the Father for a short period of time.  This is the only time written in the Bible where there was any division (separation) of the Godhead.  The intimacy that God, the Father, had with Jesus while He was in hell defeating the devil never left ... their relationship with each other remained in tact.

We are intimate within ourselves ... spirit, soul, and body ... and nobody except God knows anything about this intimacy except us.  Your wife doesn't know and never will know the intimacy you have with yourself concerning your spirit, soul, and body, and likewise you with her.

What the two of you want to do is to become intimate with each other as much as you can as husband and wife.  This is the way that God set it up.

God tells us that we need to want that same intimacy with Jesus so we can be tied into the intimacy of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  We want our intimacy as close to their intimacy as we can get it.  This should be our goal ... it's a life-long project.

Everything applies to this ... there's nothing that isn't significant to our intimacy with Jesus.  It's all relevant.
